10mm Girzzly vs 8mm Grizzly trucks
Gian posted,
Hi guys,
I was hoping to get your professional opinions.
I got my first longboard and it came with 10mm Bear Grizzlies. I only found out they were 10mm when I bought Bones Reds and found that they don't fit. :( It actually frustrated me.
I don't really do downhill (yet?) and mostly do cruising on a Chinook with 85mm wheels.
I was contemplating on trading these 10mm trucks for 8mm trucks. Would that be a bad move?
I heard bearings for 8mm trucks are more durable due to larger bearing balls. Also, since I don't really do hard riding, would 8mm trucks be more beneficial due to lighter weight and more bearing choices?
Also, I'm 180 lbs, if that's a factor.

Oh yeah. How do I know what angle these trucks are? I don't see any markings or indicators on the trucks. If I was to use a protractor, how should I be measuring?
Sorry to sound really noob, but I'm really trying to learn as much as I can by reading and also practicing daily. I'm hooked! Thanks!
