It was a pretty cool format. One push at the staggered start then unlimited pump and push after the first corner.
The race is like Trickle Creek Width. No margins of error and sketchy passing.
Finals; Simon on the front line, I got second and Niko was at the back.
We all start up with equal strength push and slowly group close together as we approach corner 2.
Simon is haulin ass to keep the lead. Im gaining but I still push out a small predrift to keep traction in the turn. Simon slides a bit too much and one wheel touches grass and his ass follows.
Niko zooms passed the carnage as I swerve around simon's mess.I try to pass Niko on the inside line of corner 3 but he closes me off and reach for the outside for lead on corner 4 and that when i hit grass and eat it.
By now Niko is tucking on the straight and Simon and I are both still pushing off like madmen for 2nd.
Simon had been back on board for a while, but i was still struggling.
Nobody crashed in crash corner at the final so there was no flash finish.
just one racer after the other.
The day was full of close finishes and The Finalists had won all there 10 heats but one each. so it was a pretty even playing field, but Speedboarder of the Year takes it Again.
Congratulations Niko for healing so fast and racing so fast!
